<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage battery with excellent mass productivity and long life. <P>SOLUTION: The lead storage battery is constituted by a polar plate formed by filling a grid plate 20 having a frame part 21, and horizontal grid bones 23 and vertical grid bones 24 for forming a grid 22 inside the frame part with an active material. The horizontal grid bones 23 are constituted by thick horizontal bones 23b with thickness equal to that of the frame part, and thin horizontal bones 23a with width and thickness smaller than these of the thick horizontal bones. The vertical grid bones 24 are constituted by thick vertical bones 24b having thickness smaller than that of the frame part and having an end in a thickness direction disposed on the same plane as an end in a thickness direction of the frame part, and thin vertical bones 24a with thickness and width smaller than these of the thick vertical bones. End surfaces on one end sides in the thickness direction of the thin horizontal bones and the thin vertical bones are positioned inside in the thickness direction compared to an end surface on one end side in the thickness direction of the frame part, and end surfaces on the other end sides in the thickness direction of the thin horizontal bones and the thin vertical bones are positioned inside in the thickness direction compared to an end surface on the other end side in the thickness direction of the frame part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
