An absorbent article including a chassis, a pair of opposed elastic side panels attached to the chassis, and at least one fastening tab adhesively attached to each elastic side panel. The at least one fastening tab has a length in the transverse direction of the article and a width in the longitudinal direction of the article and each elastic side panel is embossed on at least a portion thereof, which is adhesively attached to the respective fastening tab, to form at least one embossed groove extending along at least 30%, preferably at least 40% and more preferably at least 60% of the width of the at least one fastening tab. |
