The cell (1) has an electrode stack arranged within a cell housing and comprising electrodes connected with current arrestor tabs in an electrically conductive manner. The electrodes of different polarities are insulatively separated from each other by a separator. The tabs of same polarity are connected with each other to a pole. The housing has an electrically insulating frame (5) arranged between an electrically conductive enveloping metal sheet (3) and another enveloping metal sheet. The frame has recesses closed with respect to interior and/or environment of the cell. The recesses are formed as a complete break-through between single cell sides of the frame.
