The method involves transmitting the traffic messages from transmitter to receiver which stores the message as new message. Each transmitted traffic message is analyzed to determine whether the information in transmitted traffic message is changed from previously transmitted traffic message. The information in transmitted traffic message conforms to DABstandard. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) computer program product for transmitting traffic messages; (2) computer readable data carrier storing instructions for transmitting traffic messages; and (3) receiver.
