The method involves bringing a carrier layer (100) in a form with lower and upper tool parts (10, 11) in a position. The tool parts are relatively moved together in another position, so that an intermediate space is developed between a surface of the carrier layer and an inner side of one of the tool parts, where the inner side is turned toward the surface. An outer layer is brought into the space on the surface of the carrier layer, so that the outer layer forms an outer visible surface of a mold part. Resin (H) is introduced to form a fiber composite plastic layer (101). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a tool for manufacturing a fiber composite plastic mold part for a motor car (2) a fiber composite plastic mold part for a motor car, comprising an outer layer.
