<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame member for retaining an optical sheet and a liquid crystal panel capable of improving a viewing property by emitting as much light as possible from a light source used for a liquid crystal display device to a visible surface and forming a uniform viewing surface. <P>SOLUTION: This frame member includes a light reflecting surface, and has an average reflectance in a wavelength of 400-800 nm, of 10% or more. When this frame member is incorporated in a liquid crystal display device, a point luminance of a light-emitting surface that is measured on a central vertical line separated from the light source in the vertical direction by 3-5% of the entire distance is lower than the maximum point luminance on the whole central vertical line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
