<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that, when an electronic apparatus incorporating an image display device is used with placed on a surface of a desk, an image is displayed on a screen in a state where a part of the image is not displayed because a laser beam is obstructed by the surface of the desk. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device comprises a movable body 12 provided to be allowed to be housed in/extracted from a housing of an electronic apparatus. The movable body includes a first unit 13 having at least a projection optical system, and a second unit 14 rotatably supporting the first unit 13 via a hinge part 73. In the first unit, an emission window 74 from which a laser beam having passed through the projection optical system is emitted is provided at an end in the opposite side to the hinge part.
