<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active material for a lithium secondary battery which has a high energy density and a long charge/discharge cycle life. <P>SOLUTION: A negative electrode active material 12 for a lithium secondary battery is produced by an electric plating process that is an electrochemical deposition process, using an electrolyte 16 including lithium ions. The active material is amorphous including silicon, oxygen, and carbon. A carbon content is 10 to 30 atomic percent and Si, O, and C are uniformly distributed. The analyses by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and glow-discharge light emission spectroscopy reveals that the coupling state of the active material is constant as a whole and Si-Ox-Cy(x=1.29). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
