<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a batter for deep-fried food which enables producing deep-fried food whose texture after frying is excellently crisp, soft and light and which smoothly dissolves in the mouth when the food collapses. <P>SOLUTION: Branched dextrin is blended in the batter for deep-fried food.
