<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting apparatus and a component mounting method which prevents productivity of a substrate from decreasing too much even when any condition occurs where carrying-in of the substrate is delayed or where carrying-out of the substrate can be performed. <P>SOLUTION: After selecting one work area WA from four work areas WA, it is determined whether a targeted substrate 2 for component mounting is positioned in the selected work area WA. When the targeted substrate 2 is positioned in the selected work area WA, component mounting is performed on the substrate 2 positioned in the work area WA. When the targeted substrate 2 is not positioned in the selected work area WA, processes (steps: ST13 to ST19) including a process to rule out the work area WA are repeatedly carried out while selecting a work area WA according to a preset priority. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
