<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document information management apparatus which allows the document information with an expiration date to be easily grasped before the expiration date. <P>SOLUTION: A document information management apparatus determines whether a received piece of document information stores expiration date information. If the document information stores expiration date information, the apparatus reads the expiration date information to associate it with the document information for management.
