<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, compact electric direct-acting actuator that has excellent weight balance and has a lock mechanism capable of locking and unlocking the rotation of the rotor shaft of an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: Via a gear reduction mechanism 13, the rotation of the rotor shaft 12 of the electric motor 11 is transmitted, reduced in speed, to a rotary shaft 10. An outer-ring member 5 is moved in the axial direction, and the outer-ring member 5 pushes a movable brake pad of an electric disc brake against a brake disc, thereby braking the brake disc. A plurality of equally spaced lock holes 41 are formed in an intermediate gear 33 of the gear reduction mechanism 13, and a lock pin 42 moved forward and backward by a linear solenoid 43 is engaged with a lock hole 41, thereby locking the rotation of the rotor shaft 12 of the electric motor 11. The linear solenoid 43 is disposed between the electric motor 11 and a housing 1, restraining the radial increase in size of the electric motor 11 and housing 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
