<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor relay which allows easy control of switching characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor relay includes a light emitting element 100 that turns on or off in response to an input signal, a light receiving element composed of a photoelectric conversion element 200 optically coupled with the light emitting element 100 through an optical path and generating electromotive force, and an output element 300 composed of a switching semiconductor element switching with electric power generated by the light receiving element.
