<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary lock for a sash window, which can increase a force for holding the auxiliary lock for the sash window to the sash window. <P>SOLUTION: An auxiliary lock for a sash window enables a movable-side attachment 2 to be moved in the direction of contact with/separation from a fixing-side attachment 11, and makes a sliding door D fixed by making the fixing-side attachment 11 abut on an edge of the sliding door D and making the movable-side attachment 2 abut on a window frame F.
