Disclosed are a ginseng cultivation apparatus for apartment type buildings and a method for cultivating ginseng using the same. The ginseng cultivation apparatus of the present invention comprises: a cultivation bed (20) for accommodating a culture medium (24) in which ginseng seedlings can be transplanted; a nutrient solution supply device (30) for supplying a nutrient solution to the culture medium (24); a plurality of LED lamps (42) for supplying light energy to the ginseng seedlings; and a reciprocation means (40) for reciprocating the LED lamps with respect to the ginseng seedlings, wherein a temperature control device (36) is further provided to control the internal temperature of the cultivation bed (20). The temperature control device (36) comprises: a temperature control pipe (36a) through which a heat medium circulates; a pump (36b) for pumping the heat medium to force the same to circulate along the temperature control pipe (36a); a heater (36c) for heating the heat medium at a constant temperature; and a cooler (36d) for cooling the heat medium at a constant temperature.
