<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device excellent in operability, a method of controlling the portable electronic device, and an input control program. <P>SOLUTION: The portable electronic device 1 comprises: a display part 22 which displays an object corresponding to a predetermined function; a detection part 21 which is arranged corresponding to the display part 22 and detects contact operation from the outside to the display part 22; and a control part 9 which controls a display content of the display part 22 according to the contact operation detected by the detection part 21.
