<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus to feed a recording sheet so that a toner image is transferred onto the recording sheet without displacement, in accordance with type of the recording sheet, more particularly rigidity thereof, and to carry it out simply. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus, a recording sheet 9 on which a toner image is to be formed is conveyed by a feed roller 21 from a sheet supply part 2 along a first curved conveyance path P1 to resist rollers 3, subjected to skew correction by the resist rollers, and fed to a toner image transfer position N along a second curved conveyance path P2. For feeding the recording sheet 9 to the toner image transfer position N by the resist rollers 3, the image forming apparatus includes, two sheet detection sensors S1 and S2 disposed in the first curved conveyance path P1 extending from the feed roller 21 to the resist rollers 3, a timer part for measuring time necessary for the recording sheet 9 to pass a distance between the sensors, and a resist roller control part for controlling starting timing and a rotational speed of the resist rollers 3 in accordance with the time measured by the timer part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
