<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device including a technique for authentication of operations of the memory device to prevent modification and/or read-out of memory content without passage through signature validation processing. <P>SOLUTION: A memory device 220 includes a memory cell array 260 and a first controller 215 located within the memory cell array.
