METHOD FOR DETECTING LIVER STEATOSIS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC VIRAL HEPATITIS C

A method for detecting liver steatosis in the patients with the chronic viral hepatitis C comprises the assessment of the average acoustic density of liver parenchyma in combination with the parameters of microcirculation. The liver parenchyma is scanned with the probe for 3D-visualization. The standard 3D image is obtained allowing for visualization of microvessels. The average acoustic density in gray scale is assessed with the aid of 3D histogram. The indices of the peripheral blood flow are also taken into account for assessing the patterns of parenchyma lesions.
