<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wrinkles or jam in a sheet transfer device performing sheet transfer while guiding a side end of a sheet by a guide means. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet transfer device includes: the guide means guiding the side end of the sheet by coming into contact with the side end of the sheet to be transferred; a pair of rollers that is disposed downstream the guide means, has a driven rollers contacting with the entire part in a sheet width direction and transfers the sheet so that the sheet is sandwiched; transfer rollers transferring the sheet disposed downstream the rollers; and a second pair of rollers having a plurality of pinch rollers 102 sandwiching the sheet in cooperation with the transfer rollers.
