<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having increased safety while suppressing leakage of laser light with high light intensity to the outside when fixing a heat fixable image on a recording material using the laser light. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a laser light source 1 irradiating laser light Li toward an irradiation area IR extending along a direction intersecting a conveyance direction of a recording material P onto a heat fixable image on the recording material P; a reflection member 2 provided to surround the irradiation area IR and having a reflection plane for reflecting reflected light Lr from the irradiation area IR so that the reflected light Lr by the laser light Li irradiated from the laser light source 1 is re-irradiated toward the irradiation area IR; and a light absorption member 3 for absorbing the laser light Li provided to continue from an end of the reflection member 2 on a side toward the recording member P and having a part opposing to a conveyance surface of the recording material P and extending outward from the reflection member 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
