<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve positioner capable of coping with a failure or the like, which exhibits high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An abnormality detection means detects an abnormal condition in a second displacement sensor on the basis of a second signal. A calculation means calculates a valve position on the basis of a first signal and the second signal if the abnormality detection means has not detected an abnormal condition in the second displacement sensor; and calculates the valve position on the basis of only the first signal if the abnormality detection means has detected an abnormality in the second displacement sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
