<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold storage refrigerator capable of preventing wear of an outer peripheral surface of a displacer. <P>SOLUTION: The cold storage refrigerator includes: a cylinder 12; a displacer 14 of a roller shape provided in the cylinder 12 reciprocably along the cylinder 12, forming an expansion space 22 at one end in the cylinder 12 and forming therein a cooling medium gas flow channel 24 for supplying and discharging a cooling medium gas in the expansion space 22; and a cold-storage material 18 stored in the cooling medium gas flow channel 24 and storing the cold generated by expanding the cooling medium gas supplied to the expansion space 22 when the displacer 14 reciprocates along the cylinder 12. The displacer 14 has a radius R22 at a low temperature end smaller than a radius R21 at a high temperature end.
