摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a wall temperature increase at a condensation section of a heat engine which displaces a liquid piston by the expansion and the condensation of steam, converts the displacement of the liquid piston into mechanical energy, and outputs it. <P>SOLUTION: A heat engine is provided with a tubular container 11 in which the liquid piston 20 made of liquid working medium is enclosed in a flowable manner, an output section 12 which communicates with an end of the container 11 and outputs the displacement of the liquid piston 20 by converting it into the mechanical energy, and a cooling means 14 which cools a part of a wall surface of the container 11. An expansion section 113 in which the steam 21 expands is formed on a part opposite to the output section 12 of the container 11, and a condensation section 112 in which the steam 21 condenses is formed on a part between the output section 12 and the expansion section 113 of the container 11. The condensation section 112 is a part of the container 11 which the cooling means 14 is installed and the total volume Vcond of the condensation section 112 is larger than the volume Vin of the steam 21 contained in the condensation section 112 when the liquid piston 15 is in a bottom dead center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
