<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically change to a high-speed communication mode when an initial state is a low-speed communication mode. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication device includes: a radio communication unit communicating in either one of a first radio communication mode, in which radio communication is performed with a fixed first frequency bandwidth, and a second radio communication mode, in which radio communication is performed with either a second frequency bandwidth broader than the first frequency bandwidth, or the first frequency bandwidth, and communicating in either one of a non-security mode using no security system and a security mode using a security system, and communicating according to a set communication parameter; and communication parameter set means for setting to the radio communication unit a communication parameter input and set according to the input of the communication parameter setting.
