<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a connection form of plural power storage units which are freely connected and control the plural power storage units according to the detected connection form. <P>SOLUTION: Six power storage modules MOD1 to MOD6 are connected in series. An output controller ICNT is supplied with a total voltage V(Total) and the individual output voltages V(1) to V(6) of the respective power storage modules. A control unit PR of the output controller ICNT determines a connection form depending on whether a determination equation holds true or not. Letting the number of power storage modules be N, a total output voltage be V(Total), individual output voltages be V(1), V(2), . . ., V(N), and the number of parallels in connection form be M, then a (determination equation: V(1)=V(2)=. . .=V(N)=(1/M)×V(Total)) is used.
