<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SOFC stack which can attain a higher power generation efficiency by utilizing heat generated from the SOFC more effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The solid oxide fuel cell stack has a plurality of solid oxide fuel cells 4, and thermoelectric conversion elements 5 between the cells. The cell is planar and has an anode side separator 3a and a cathode side separator 3c sandwiching the cell.
