<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a bullet mode without the need of a complicated operation, and to detect a state for switching to the bullet mode while leaving a mechanical key with which a vehicle can be operated in the hand of an owner and preventing the increase of the number of components of an electronic key. <P>SOLUTION: While it is detected by a key detection part 47 that a mechanical key 32 is detached from a key body 31, an electronic key system for vehicle 10 shifts to the bullet mode for limiting a part of prescribed functions which can be executed by a vehicle 11 corresponding to communication between the vehicle 11 and a portable machine 12. The portable machine 12 has an operation switch 46 for limited functions to be operated in order to transmit to the vehicle 11 a limited function command signal which instructs the cancellation of limitation of the function limited in the bullet mode and its execution, and prohibits the transmission of the limited function command signal accompanied with the operation of the operation switch for limited functions 46 while the detached state of the mechanical key 32 is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
