<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for checking a defect of a honeycomb filter that allows for checking in a short time period, and a device for checking the defect of the honeycomb filter. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step of radiating light to an end face 100b of the honeycomb structure 100 having a partition wall 112 that forms a plurality of flow channels 110 extending to the other end face 100t from the one end face 100b, and a step of obtaining a two dimensional distribution of intensity of light emitted from the other end face 100t of the honeycomb structure 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
