<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the vibration of a scanning optical device by holding a bearing of a motor in holding holes with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In the scanning optical device (100) having a rotary polygon mirror (301), a motor (4) for rotating the rotary polygon mirror, a base plate (302) for supporting the motor, a bearing (305) for rotatably supporting a rotating shaft of the motor, and an optical box (1) for supporting the base plate, the optical box is provided with holding holes (402, 403; 404; 406) into which the bearing is inserted, two abutting surfaces (402a, 403a; 404a, 404c; 407a, 407b) abutting the bearing are provided in the holding holes, and the two abutting surfaces are disposed perpendicular to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
