<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal powder for powder metallurgy, from which a sintered compact having high density and excellent mechanical properties is easily produced even when a composition is poor in sinterability or the metal powder is sintered at a low temperature area, and to provide a dense sintered compact produced by using the metal powder for powder metallurgy. <P>SOLUTION: The metal powder for powder metallurgy includes Zr and Si so that following conditions of (A) and (B) are satisfied, wherein the remainder is constituted of a metal material including at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni, and inevitable elements. (A) When the content of Zr is defined as a [mass%] and the content of Si is defined as b [mass%], a/b is ≥0.03 and ≤0.3. (B) b is ≥0.35 and ≤1.5 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
