<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint metal capable of easily performing joining between structural materials while eliminating projection parts from the structural materials and facilitating transportation by dividing the joint metal. <P>SOLUTION: A joint metal for joining wooden structural materials together consists of a plate-like bearing seat and a plate-like engagement member perpendicularly engaged with the bearing seat. The bearing seat has, in its surface center, an engagement hole having a width substantially equal to the thickness of the engagement member, and the engagement member has an insertion part and an engagement part which can be inserted into the engagement hole.
