The invention relates to a double-layer metal thin film type electric power generator, comprising a substrate, a first metal thin film formed on the substrate, an insulation film formed on the substrate such that the insulation film contacts the first metal thin film, and a second metal thin film formed on the first metal thin film and on the insulation film. According to the double-layer metal thin film type electric power generator of the present invention, thermal energy and radiant energy applied from respective external sources to the first and second metal thin films are simultaneously converted into electric energy.
