<p>A medal mounting apparatus (10) comprises a mounting plate (12) and a backing plate (14). The mounting plate (12) has at least one hole (26) through the plate (12). The hole (26) is adapted to allow a medal (50) to be secured to the plate (12) by a tie or stitch (60) through the plate (12). The backing plate (14) is adapted to be secured to a garment and to be releasably secured to the mounting plate (12) such that when secured, the backing plate (14) is spaced from the mounting plate (12) to create a cavity (35) between the mounting plate (12) and the backing plate (14).</p> |
