The invention relates to a lubricant for hot glass processes and to the use of the lubricant for the surface refinement of glass, which is used in particular for mold lubricating processes in the hollow glass industry, but also for roller lubrication in the flat glass industry, for the lubrication of flat glass press molds, for the tube glass production using lubricated mandrels or for the lubrication of rollers during the roller forming of glass. The lubricant can also be used for the surface refinement of glass. The aim of the invention is to develop lubricants for hot glass processes that result in a surface refinement of the glass articles that are produced, in particular for increasing the strength and for improving the chemical resistance. The aim is achieved by a lubricant comprising 5-95 wt.%, preferably 30-70 wt.% aluminum salts of the fatty acids, and 95-5 wt.%, preferably 70-30 wt.% solvents based on carbon, and/or comprising carbon-based solvents/suspensions containing up to 70 wt.% aluminum powder having a grain size of 10 nm to 500 µm. |
