PURPOSE: A power transmission device for converting a linear motion into a rotary motion is provided to reduce fuel consumption by converting a low vertical load into high torque using the principles of the lever. CONSTITUTION: A power transmission device for converting a linear motion into a rotary motion comprises a main body(10), a rotary center shaft(20a), a lever(30) and a supporting unit(40) An upper part of the main body is cut obliquely, the inclined plane is formed. The rotary central shaft is inserted inside the main body. An end of one side of the lever accepts vertical loads acting on a connecting rod. The end of the other side of the lever is fixed with the central shaft. The supporting unit supports the vertical load of the lever by supporting one section of the lever at least. The supporting unit comprises an upper plate(41), a lower plate(42), and a sliding member(43). The upper plate supports the lever. The lower plate is integrally connected with the main body. The sliding member assists a sliding rotation between the upper plate and the lower plate.
