<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where position shift in an image formed on paper is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an image forming mechanism 10 for forming the image on the paper and a paper conveying mechanism 20 for conveying the paper. The paper conveying mechanism 20 is equipped with: a registration roll 21 arranged on a more upstream side than the image forming mechanism 10, and correcting the skew of the paper; a first edge sensor 22 provided between the registration roll 21 and the image forming mechanism 10, and measuring the position in a width direction of the first paper conveyed toward the image forming mechanism 10 this time; and a position information storage part 36 for storing the position information in the width direction of the first paper based on the result of measurement by the first edge sensor 22. The image forming mechanism 10 adjusts an image forming position in the width direction of the image formed on the second paper conveyed next time and thereafter based on the position information stored in the position information storage part 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
