DRILL SHIP FOR POLAR REGION

PURPOSE: A drilling ship for polar region is provided to minimize structure interrupting a drilling work by effectively supporting longitudinal hull strength and weather tight structure with only hull outer plate. CONSTITUTION: A drilling ship for polar region comprises a weather tight structure(130). The weather tight structure protects a drilling floor(120) and a drilling area(140) from outside air. Left and right side walls of the weather tight structure are connected to a hull outer plate(110) around the drilling area. Front and rear walls(135,136) of the weather tight structure is connected to an uppermost deck in front and rear sides of the drilling area. A reinforcing part is connected to the left side wall, the right side wall, the front wall, and the rear wall to reinforce drilling load applied to the weather tight structure.
