There is described an infusion device 10 comprising a permeable sachet 11 containing an infusionable material 12 such as tea or coffee and a rigid elongated member 13 disposed wholly within the sachet and extending from end-to-end thereof to impart rigidity to the device. The device may include a cap 14 at one end embracing one end of the rigid member enabling the user to hold that end of the device so that it can be used to stir and agitate a liquid in which the sachet is immersed, enhancing the infusion process, without wetting the user's fingers. The cap may have an inverted u-shape including first arm 15 and second arm 16 and a bridge member 17, and a fastening device such as a staple 18. There is also described a pack containing a plurality of devices.
