<p>The method involves generating an alternating current signal i.e. sinusoidal signal, and superimposing direct current with the alternating current signal, where the direct current is presented in a direct current system i.e. electrolysis system (10). Voltage and current intensity of the current signal are determined, and an earth resistance of the direct current system is determined from determined voltage and current intensity of the current signal. Maximum amplitude of voltage values and current intensity values of the alternating current signal are continuously determined. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an apparatus for detecting earth resistance of a direct current system contains an undefined potential to an earth, comprising an alternating current generator (2) a program element stored in a processor for performing a method for determining an earth resistance of a non-grounding direct current system with an undefined potential to an earth (3) a computer readable medium comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for determining earth resistance of a non-grounding direct current system with an undefined potential to an earth.</p> |
