PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a light emitting device package are provided to decrease light loss due to first and second metal layers using reflection and scattering effects of an optical layer. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure(120) comprises a first conductivity type semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer. The light emitting structure exposes a part of the first conductivity type semiconductor layer. A conductive layer(130) is formed on the second conductivity type semiconductor layer. A first electrode is formed on the exposed first conductivity type semiconductor layer. An optical layer(150) reflects or scatters light projected from the light emitting structure. |
