A methacryloxy group- or acryloxy group-containing polyorganosiloxane in which a methacryloxy group or acryloxy group is bonded to a silicon atom in the polyorganosiloxane across a long-chain alkylene group or poly(alkyleneoxy)-long chain-alkylene group having 11 to 20 carbon atoms. A method of producing this methacryloxy group- or acryloxy group-containing polyorganosiloxane, in which a silicon-bonded hydrogen atom-containing polyorganosiloxane is addition reacted in the presence of a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst with a 1-alkenyloxy methacrylate or a 1-alkenyloxy acrylate or a 1-alkenyloxypolyalkylene glycol methacrylate or a 1-alkenyloxypolyalkylene glycol acrylate.
