BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to convert light supplied from a light receiving surface by a light guide plate into parallel light. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate includes a light receiving surface(231), an opposite light receiving surface(232), and a plurality of light guide blocks. First light is incident on the light receiving surface. The opposite light receiving surface faces the light receiving surface. The opposite light receiving surface has a swollen shape compared to the light receiving surface. The opposite light receiving surface converts the first light into parallel second light by reflecting the first light. The light guide blocks include a light emitting surface from which the second light is emitted and an inclined surface with an inclined angle to the light emitting surface.
