PURPOSE: A noise reduction apparatus for a tail gate latch of a vehicle is provided to reduce noises in opening/closing of a tail gate because a pawl being locked with a latch plate has a translational motion. CONSTITUTION: A noise reduction apparatus for a tail gate latch of a vehicle comprises a latch plate(19), a locking unit, a pawl(20), and an open lever(11). The latch plate is pivotally installed in a tail gate via a hinge shaft(15) The locking unit is formed on the rear side of the latch plate. The pawl being locked by the locking unit is installed to move along a center axis(16) in the width direction of the latch plate. The open lever is pivotally installed in the tail gate via a hinge pin(12) and operated with an outside handle rod(10) to release the pawl from the latch plate.
