The valve (1) has an actuating device (4) for actuating the valve, and a housing upper part (2) for receiving the actuating device. A housing lower part (3) includes a receiving region (9) for receiving a diaphragm (11). A central region forms a flow channel (17), and is formed in the housing lower part below the diaphragm. A cross-sectional surface of the flow channel is constant in a central region (51) of the housing lower part, when the valve is in an open condition. The flow channel includes a circular cross section at an input of the housing lower part.
