PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to automatically convert a current OS which can not execute an application into an OS which can execute the application, thereby preventing errors when the application is executed. CONSTITUTION: A memory(160) includes at least two OS(Operating System)s and at least one application. A display unit(151) displays the application on a first OS exclusive screen. If the first OS does not execute the application when a command for executing the application is inputted on the first OS exclusive screen, a control unit(180) searches a second OS which can execute the application in the memory. The control unit activates the second OS to execute the application.
