PURPOSE: A glucose-free pineapple extract is provided to promote tranglutaminase-1 production and to suppress melanin production. CONSTITUTION: A glucose-free pineapple extract is prepared by extracting an edible part of a pineapple by solvent and removing glucose and fructose. The solvent is 70-100 vol% ethanol solution. A laminin-5 production promoting agent contains the extract. An epidermia hyaluronic acid production promoting agent contains the extract. A melanin production inhibitor contains the extract.
