PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively apply a countermeasure for preventing an OB part from being affected by a light leak to the OB part caused by a large incident light amount due to a high-luminance subject or the like. SOLUTION: It is detected that an output level in an OB pixel part is changed corresponding to a distance from an effective pixel part. An OB region for calculating a dark level is changed corresponding to the detection results. Consequently, it is possible to detect a proper dark level that is not affected by the light leak to the OB pixel part caused by the large incident light amount due to the high-luminance subject or the like.
