PURPOSE: A metadata server, a service server, an asymmetric distribution file system, and an operating method thereof are provided to dynamically increase the number of metadata servers as the number of clients increases, thereby supporting stable performance. CONSTITUTION: A first metadata server generates a group folder and records attribute information(S207). If it is requested to register a client, the metadata server generates a client-only folder under the group folder and records information of connecting the client with the client-only folder(S213). If the number of clients is larger than the maximum client number, the second metadata server provides the attribute information to the first metadata server and records the attribute information to a new group folder generated in the first metadata server(S219). |
