PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control cable device for an elevator capable of reducing bending stress and twisting stress caused in a wire rope and prolonging fatigue life of the wire rope greatly. SOLUTION: In this control cable device for the elevator for connecting control cables 10 whose one end is connected with a car elevating in a shaft and whose other end is connected with a building side by holding a plurality of wire ropes 6, 7 taken out of the control cables and having directions of twisting being different from each other in a cable hanger 3 provided in the car, upper end parts of each wire rope 6, 7 are separately held by wedge-like tightening devices 12.
